Do not clean your dentures with bleaches , hot boiling water ,metho,heavy abrasives,detol,or other strong chemicals not designed for dentures.

When Cleaning your dentures clean at east once a day or preferably after every meal,if you can because Most food hardens after 24 hours so food removal is necessary as soon as possible. Remove your dentures, and then rinse away any food particles with running tap water. For those with a partial denture, it is imperative that you thoroughly clean it the best you can. Any remaining plaque may increase the risk of losing more of your natural teeth at a later date. Our dental prosthetist will show you how to clean your remaining teeth properly using a soft toothbrush and dental floss. When cleaning your dentures, do not use toothpaste as many brands are too abrasive to clean acrylic denture teeth. Instead, brush both the outside and inside surface of your dentures with a soft toothbrush and mild detergent .You will find many denture cleaning products designed for this purpose.
Over time denture teeth may stain this is because the protective layers wear off .Chipping breaking cracking also let in stains .As the denture ages the denture teeth shrink at a different rate as the base and small micro gaps and cracks let in stains that are hard to remove.Some times even old repaired areas of plastics may change color at a different shade as the older denture plastic.
